Work Experience at Spice Clothing Boutique, Day 1
Hello all
you beautiful people,
I'm so excited!!
I'm doing a week of work experience for TAFE at a local women’s clothing
boutique!
Spice Clothing in Albury, NSW (Australia) is a
luxury woman’s retail clothing store aimed at women aged 16-65. Spice sells
quality made dresses from smart casual to formal gowns. They also sell a wide
range of shirts, pants, and shoes. Spice offers a wonderful shopping experience
with warm friendly staff that strives to find the perfect piece, outfit, or
dress for your style and/or special event.

On my first day I was welcomed by Gabi and
Dora (Dora is the shop owner and manager). Who were incredibly sweet and nice
to me, and showed me what was involved in working and running a fashion
boutique.
My first task for the morning was
familiarizing myself with the beautiful dresses and clothing on the shop floor,
so that I knew where most of the stock was located. In the afternoon I met
Caitlin another beautiful lady who works there, I then learned how to organize
and clean the racks and shelves.

I didn't
do much else today, I just ended up cleaning racks and I did a little bit of
vacuuming.
I went
home at the end of the day with a headache from lack of water which was a bit
of a downer to my day, plus I had sore feet from standing all day. Except from
the headache and sore feet I had a really exciting and relatively fun day.
